Parking & closures

On peak days — especially in August — roads around the sanctuary can close or clog. A taxi often saves more time (and nerves) than hunting for a space.

When to expect disruption

  • Assumption of Mary (15 August) — peak pilgrimage season.
  • Our Lady of Czestochowa (26 August).
  • Large walking pilgrimages arriving through the summer.
  • The evening Appeal during major events.

Driving yourself vs taxi

Your own car makes sense outside peak periods and when you already have hotel parking. On feast days, a taxi plus a short final walk is often faster than circling for a space and then exiting a jam.

This page does not auto-publish live road closures. Before a feast-day trip, check official sources or ask your hotel / taxi driver.
